This is how I make a meatloaf made with a combination of sausage and ground beef, along with the seasonings. It promises to be a flavorful and savory dish. Here's a basic recipe for your sausage and hamburger meatloaf:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  1. Prepare Ingredients:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sausage and ground beef.

    • combine with 2 eggs (1 egg if combined meat weight is one pound)

    • combine with 1 cup of breadcrumbs.

  2. Seasoning:

    • Add 4 ounces of seasoning blend. Remember that sausage can be seasoned, so adjust with salt accordingly.

  3. Mix Thoroughly:

    • Mix the ingredients thoroughly, ensuring an even distribution of the seasonings throughout the meat mixture.

  4. Form the Loaf:

    • Shape the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased or parchment-lined baking dish.

  5. Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). The cooking time may vary based on the thickness of the meatloaf.

    • 1/2 hour before cooking is complete, glaze the top of the meatloaf with a mixture of ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard before baking for added flavor and a caramelized finish.

  6. Rest Before Slicing:

    • Allow the meatloaf to rest for a few minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices and keeps the meatloaf moist.

  7. Serve:

    • Slice and serve the meatloaf with your favorite sides.
